Funtanella is a historic house, unique in Balagne, a 1 hour and 20 minutes flight from Paris and ten minutes from Calvi airport. Located in a dominant position within the village of Lumio in Corsica, the house offers a spectacular view of the bay of Calvi and its citadel, the sea, the mountains, and the village of Lumio (which means "light" in Corsican).
All the original elements that could be preserved have been retained: from the terracotta floors, through the specific vaulted ceilings of traditional Corsican architecture, to the old doors or original wall decorations, similar to Venetian palaces.
This project is particularly close to the owners' hearts. Directed by the French architect Marc Deloche, the restoration of this 18th-century mansion was completed in September 2022, with the help of the best local craftsmen.
